CT1 & ACCS Recruitment

Recruitment round one for CT1 and ACCS commencing in August 2010 has now finished.

CT2 & ST3 Recruitment

Recruitment to CT2 and ST3 is complete for August 2010. Details will appear here regarding further recruitment.

2011 recruitment will be done nationally, co-ordinated through the West Midlands deanery. Applications will be completed online. Candidates can choose two units of application (geographical regions) and if they are shortlisted, they may be interviewed by either or both of these. Candidates will be scored and ranked at interview and, if successful, will be offered one place.

Candidates who have passed the MCQ section of the primary FRCA before the closing date for applications, and who intend to sit the SOE/OSCE at the next sitting, may apply for ST3 posts. If they are successful at interview, they will be offered a place conditional on passing the SOE/OSCE.

Following the SOE/OSCE, conditional offers will be confirmed or withdrawn.

Following this process, there will be a recycling of offers to appointable candiates. When the list of appointable candidates has been exhausted, a clearing process will begin. Candidates may be offered interviews at other deaneries.

Candidates who have not yet passed the primary SOE/OSCE may apply for CT2 and ST3 posts. They will be able to hold offers for both posts until the results of the May sitting of the SOE/OSCE.

Candidates from non UK/EEA countries will only be considered once the list of UK/EEA candidates has been exhausted.
